Polyester staples account for about 70% of Palmetto Synthetics’ production capacity, with 25% going to nylon and the balance to other polymers. About two thirds of the company’s sales are for the USA market with the balance as export. PET and PA6,6 tow for flock is a growing portion of Palmetto Synthetics' business. Currently producing drawn and undrawn tow, Palmetto Synthetics produces solution-dyed colors and various lusters in both resins.
